Opal Base is a camouflage base for covering and leveling nails.

Properties:

  • Mildly acidic with a pH of 5-6.

  • Elastic and flexible.

  • Offers high coverage of the natural nail due to high pigmentation.

  • May cause minimal shrinkage over the wear period due to its elasticity.

  • Medium consistency.

  • Provides a hold of 3-4 weeks without lifting.

  • Has a neutral odor.

  • Hypoallergenic.

  • Can be easily removed either by filing or using liquid.

  • Does not run and self-levels quickly.

  • Requires a base coat of LUNAmoon Rubber Base.

  • Not suitable for leveling long nails without prior reinforcement.

  • Curing time under the lamp – 120 seconds.

  • The power of the curing lamp should be 36-48 W (must be an original lamp).

  • Important rule when leveling: The thickness at the nail tip should be 0.5 mm.

  • Thixotropic: Becomes more liquid when the brush is moved during application.

Application:

  1. Removal.

  2. Do not file the nail shape, or leave 2 mm in length that will be removed after leveling.

  3. File the nail with a 180-240 grit file without heavy pressure to lift the nail scales, or use a 100 grit buffer.

  4. Perform a manicure.

  5. If working with removers, wash hands thoroughly with soap after use.

  6. Degrease the nail with Nail Prep. Perform two passes. Use 4 wipes for this (1 wipe for 5 fingers). First pass: Wipe the nail surface. Second pass: Take an orange wood stick, place a wipe on it, and wipe everything in the cuticle area and in the grooves.

  7. Use primer if desired, but if the base for the undercoat is sufficiently acidic, it is not required.

  8. It is best to apply the LUNAmoon Rubber Base with a flat gel brush. The movements should be massaging. Trace all the grooves of the nail and cure for 60 seconds under the lamp.

  9. Remove the sticky layer.

  10. Level with LUNAmoon Opal Base. Cure for 90 seconds under the lamp.

  11. After leveling, file the shape. This is necessary to create thickness at the nail tip to support the free edge.

  12. Remove the sticky layer.

  13. Cover with top coat. Cure for 120 seconds under the lamp. After drying, do not wipe with anything, as the shine might be lost.

Product shelf life: 24 months. Once opened, do not store for longer than 18 months.

Return:

A return is possible within the scope of the statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of receipt of the goods. The goods should be returned in full and, if possible, unused. 

For hygienic reasons, opened or used products may be excluded from return, provided that the legal requirements for this are met.
