Lunamoon Light Acrygel No. 6 (13-30 ml)

LIQUID GEL LIGHT ACRYGEL – an innovative material for strengthening, leveling, and extending nails. It is a symbiosis of polygel and base. It consists of 60-80% acrylic copolymer (the main component of polygel) and a small amount of hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA, approx. 20-30%), the main component of base coatings. Such a gel can completely replace the base.

Properties:

• Polymerization wavelength – 365–405 nm.

• UV/LED lamp power – 36–48 W.

• Permissible layer thickness – 0.5 mm at the nail edge, 1 mm at the apex.

• Acid-free, medium consistency.

• Medium pigmentation, covers the free edge.

• Complete polymerization – 120 seconds.

• Suitable only for strengthening and extending nails.

• Good cushioning properties.

• When strengthening with this gel, the natural nail must be filed.

• Requires a rubber base underlay.

• Can be additionally warmed up to achieve a more fluid consistency.

Method of application:

STRENGTHENING:

1. Preparation:
   Do not file the nail shape, or leave 2 mm of length to be removed after leveling.
   File the nail surface from above with a file (180-240 grit) without applying heavy pressure to lift the scales of the nail plate, or use a buffer (100 grit).

2. Manicure:
   If you work with removers, wash your hands with soap after use.
   Degrease the nail with Nail Prep. Apply twice. Use 4 wipes for this (1 wipe for 5 fingers).
   First step: Wipe the nail surface.
   Second step: Take an orange wood stick, wrap a wipe around it, and wipe the cuticle zone and nail folds.

3. Primer (optional):
   If desired, use a primer. If the base used for the underlay is sufficiently acidic, the primer is not necessary.
   Apply the Rubber Base LUNAmoon with a flat gel brush. The movements should be rubbing in. Trace all nail folds and cure under the lamp for 60 seconds.

4. Leveling:
   When leveling with gel, leave a gap of 0.5–1 mm from the cuticle. Cure under the lamp for 60 seconds.

5. Filing:
   File the shape after leveling to create a thickness at the edge of the nail that will support the free edge.
   If the nail was thin, it may warp. Therefore, it is essential to file 1 mm of the natural nail from underneath to prevent the material from lifting. If the material is hard and the nail is very soft, the natural nail could detach from the rigid material at the free edge.

6. After filing:
   Remove the sticky layer and cover the nail with gel polish.
   Cover with a topcoat and cure under the lamp for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing, as the shine might be lost.

CLASSIC EXTENSION:

1. Preparation:
   Shorten the nail length to 1 mm and shape the nail round.
   File the nail surface from above with a file (180-240 grit) without applying heavy pressure to lift the scales of the nail plate, or use a buffer (100 grit).

2. Manicure:
   If you work with removers, wash your hands with soap after use.
   Degrease the nail with Nail Prep. Apply twice. Use 4 wipes for this (1 wipe for 5 fingers).
   First step: Wipe the nail surface.
   Second step: Take an orange wood stick, wrap a wipe around it, and wipe the cuticle zone and nail folds.

3. Primer:
   Use the primer.

4. Underlay with Rubber Base LUNAmoon:
   Apply the Rubber Base LUNAmoon with a flat gel brush. The movements should be rubbing in. Trace all nail folds and cure under the lamp for 60 seconds.
   Remove the sticky layer.

5. Form building:
   Place the form for extending the free edge of the nail.
   Build the shape of the artificial nail with clear gel. Cure for 30 seconds.
   File the free edge and shape as desired.
   Wipe off the sticky layer and remove excess dust.
   Go over the treated areas again with Rubber Base LUNAmoon. Cure for 30 seconds.

6. Leveling with gel:
   When applying the gel, hold the nail in the lamp for 10–15 seconds so it adheres. If the gel is very sticky or glittery, hold the nail in the lamp for 20 seconds.
   Cure completely under the lamp for 120 seconds.

7. After curing:
   Remove the sticky layer and cover the nail with gel polish.
   Cover with a topcoat and cure under the lamp for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing, as the shine might be lost.
