Candy color gel for nail extension is a polymeric, light-curing material that, thanks to its strength, allows for a significant extension of the nail plate. It contains photoinitiators that trigger the polymerization process under UV light of a specific wavelength.

Features:

  • Acid-free.

  • Shock-absorbing, does not break upon impact.

  • Medium consistency.

  • Medium pigmentation, covers the free edge of the nail.

  • Suitable for the "extension without filing" technique.

  • Suitable for extension with "dual forms".

  • Does not cause a burning sensation in the lamp.

  • Becomes thicker in the cold and thinner in the heat.

  • Thixotropic – becomes more liquid upon brushing.

  • Can be additionally warmed to make it more liquid.

  • Hard at a layer thickness of 1 mm. Slightly flexible at less than 1 mm, without compromising durability.

  • No shrinkage, holds the C-curve well.

  • Requires a rubber base as a mandatory base layer.

  • Curing wavelength: 365–405 nm.

  • UV/LED lamp power: 36–48W.

  • Recommended layer thickness: 0.5 mm at the tip / 1 mm at the apex.

  • Full curing: 120 seconds.

Application method:

REINFORCEMENT:

  1. Remove the old coating.

  2. Do not file the nail shape, or leave 2 mm of length that will be removed after the build-up.

  3. Rough up the surface with a 220-grit file without applying pressure, or use a 100-grit buffer.

  4. Perform a manicure.

  5. If using removers, wash hands with soap.

  6. Degrease the nail with LUNAmoon Nail Prep. Use two passes with 4 cellulose wipes (1 wipe for 5 fingers). First, clean the surface, then clean the nail edges and cuticle with a wooden stick and a wipe.

  7. Use primer as desired – not necessary if the base is sufficiently acidic.

  8. Apply LUNAmoon Rubber Base with a flat gel brush, coat all edges, and cure for 60 seconds.

  9. Remove the dispersion layer.

  10. Build up with gel, keeping 0.5–1 mm away from the cuticle. Cure for 60 seconds.

  11. File the shape after build-up to reinforce the nail tip.

  12. Thin nails: file out 1 mm of the natural nail from underneath to prevent lifting.

  13. Remove the dispersion layer and cover with color polish.

  14. Apply top coat, cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe afterwards to maintain the shine.
